Disney Parks Blog recently announced an increase in ticket prices at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The price increases went into effect this past Sunday, June 2, 2013. Some highlights of the new pricing are as follows:
Walt Disney World
- 1 Day ticket to Magic Kingdom is now $95 plus tax (ages 10+) and $89 plus tax (ages 3-9).
- 1 Day ticket to Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom is now $90 plus tax (ages 10+) and $84 plus tax (ages 3-9).
- Multi day tickets for ages 10+ are now $184 (2 days) to $339 (10 days) plus tax. Ages 3-9 are now $172 (2 days) to $320 (10 days) plus tax.
- To add a park hopper it’s $59 per ticket. To add water park fun it’s $59 per ticket. To add both to a package it’s $84 per ticket.
For comparison, last year a 1 day ticket to any park for ages 10+ was $89.
Disneyland
- 1 Day, 1 park ticket will be $92 plus tax (ages 10+) and $86 plus tax (ages 3-9).
- 2-5 Day, 1 park per day tickets for age 10+ are now $175 – 265 plus tax. Ages 3-9 are now $162 – $244 plus tax.
- 2-5 Day, park hoppers for age 10+ are now $137 – $300 plus tax. Ages 3-9 are now $131 – 279 plus tax.
For comparison, last year a 1 Day, 1 Park ticket for ages 10+ was $87.
Disney Premier Passport
The biggest increase so far is to the Disney Premier Passports which are now $979 plus tax, up from $849 last year. The Disney Premier Passport provides anyone ages 3 and up with one year admission to all the Disney Parks in Florida and California. Capacity constraints apply and Passport does not guarantee admission during high attendance periods or other closures.
Although I am not exactly jumping for joy at the thought of another price increase to add to my vacation budget, this news would not stop me from booking a future Disney vacation. For me, the experience you get with a Disney vacation is well worth the extra dollars.
