These are so cute!
This morning, Disney Parks Blog announced a new set of character inspired mugs, reminiscent of the ear hat ornaments and most recently, shoe ornaments Disney has been releasing.
The princess mugs include Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Aurora and Snow White.
Villan mugs include Ursula and the Queen of Hearts. New Evil Queen and Malificent mugs have also been released, but are not sculptured in the same vein as these mugs. The body of the mug is more like a regular mug. But still stunning, nonetheless!
The mugs will be released to select merchandise stores at Disneyland and Disney World very soon. They will also be available for purchase at Disney Store online sometime in May.
My personal favorite is the Rapunzel mug. Any favorites for you?
The next Disney live-action movie, ‘Into the Woods’ began production this week and we have our first view of the Witch herself, played by the incomparable Meryl Streep. The role of the Witch originated with Bernadette Peters on Broadway in 1987.
Directed by Rob Marshall, the storyline of the flim involves the Witch teaching important lessons to fairytale characters including Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy), and Jack + the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone). Other noteworthy characters include Johnny Depp as The Wolf, Chris Pine as Cinderella’s Prince, and Emily Blunt as The Bakers Wife.
But….wait……what?!?! No Helena Bonham Carter? The horror!! 😉
Into the Woods hits theatres December 25, 2014.
Principal photography has begun on Cinderella, Disney’s live action re-imagining of the classic fairytale of the same name.
Set for release on March 13, 2015 Cinderella, played by Lily James, follows the original concept storyline, however in this live action version we get to see more of Cinderella’s history and backstory, which includes her mother played by Hayley Atwell. Other principal characters include Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine, Helena Bonham Carter as The Fairy Godmother, Richard Madden as Prince Charming, Stellen Skargard as The Grand Duke, Holliday Grainger as Anastasia, and Sophie McShera as Drizella. The film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh.
The first image of this widely-anticipated film can be seen above.
I personally cannot wait to see this film. Cinderella is the classic princess fairytale and a wonderful choice for Disney to make into a live action film. What I’m looking forward to most (besides the scenery and costumes) is Helena Bonham Carter’s portrayal of The Fairy Godmother. THAT should be interesting.
Are you looking forward to Cinderella? Thoughts on the casting?

The new character greeting for Disney Princesses officially opened in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom this morning!
Guests can either choose to meet Cinderella and a visiting princess OR Rapunzel and a visiting princess. To Fastpass this attraction, go to the Fastpast Distribution Centre right next to Peter Pan’s Flight.
According to Disney Parks Blog, the story behind the Fairytale Hall is that it was a gift from the King to Cinderella where she and her princess friends could gather together and greet their royal subjects.
So Cindy and the gals are friends?
Seems so! This story reminds me of dining at Cinderella’s Castle last year. During our greeting with Jasmine, she asked my ‘very shy’ daughter if she wanted to come to a sleepover at the Castle that night with her, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel and the other princesses. Jasmine said they would watch movies, do their nails and she would bring the popcorn! My daughter was speechless and in awe. The only thing she could do was nod her head emphatically with a big smile on her face! It was so cute and sweet and just proves that the princesses are IN FACT, friends! 😉
I am bursting with excitement!!
Sephora has finally released the third collection in their Disney princess line: Ariel!
The collection includes:
~ Storylook Eyeshadow Palette vol. 3
~ Part of Your World Eyeshadow Palette
~ Kiss the Girl Eau de Parfum & Rollerball
~ Mermaid Song Lipgloss set
~ Whatcha-nail-callit 6 pc nail lacquer set
~ Set the Mood Compact Mirror
I don’t have any of the items in my greedy little hands as of yet. Planning to do a mall run tomorrow to check out my local Sephora. Most of the items are already sold out online, and they were only released yesterday morning. No big surprise, as the same thing occurred with both the Cinderella and Jasmine lines that came before this Ariel line.
I am completely smitten with this line. I think it’s absolutely beautiful. I am really hoping I can get my hands on a few of these items and will do some write-ups if and when that happens!
Anyone else excited about this Ariel collection? What pieces look the most delicious to you?!? 😉
